Dems should cynically put out an APB for someone with brain cancer who obtained treatment they may not have obtained in the absence of ACA. Ideally from Arizona.

Pubs are really good at finding and promoting anecdotes and citing them as evidence. Dems, not so much.

Vote tonight was used as a proxy vote for BCRA itself. This version of BCRA is dead..they have a few more yet to go.

The Tuesday night tally needed to reach 60 votes to overcome a parliamentary objection. Instead, it fell 43-57. The fact that the comprehensive replacement plan came up well short of even 50 votes was an ominous sign for Republican leaders still grappling with a formula to pass final health care legislation this week.

I think it's important to keep in mind that the bewildering slurry of votes that are part of legislative "operations" in the Senate - & in any relatively mature, "sophisticated" democratic body anywhere - is meant to baffle not only the person on the street, but frankly also many if not most participating legislators.
