I'm impressed by the speech. It's the closest to bipartisanship from a Republican in a good long time. But for the fact that our Congress is bought and paid for it might have made a difference.

he said he's going back to Arizona after a committee hearing. So...is he not going to vote on any of the bills? that changes the math going forward.

He was honored to have had the opportunity to play a role in the history of the country, so he will be the Sen. Byrd of this generation. Maverick will hook up with Goose and fly back when needed. For the record, McCain was an attack aircraft pilot flying the single seat A-4E, not a fighter like its contemporary, the F-4 which is a completely different aircraft.
