Does he even understand NATO funding? Didn't he (or his admin) show their ignorance on this earlier?

Nothing to see here, right? Well, um, this WaPo Daily 202 tidbit, from Buzzfeed, has more thorns then a rose bush.

A Mar-a-Lago employee is quietly working for the government to help prepare for Trump's trip to the G-7 Summit in Italy – an unconventional arrangement that further blurs the line between his business empire and the White House. Buzzfeed’s Tarini Parti reports: “Heather Rinkus, the guest reception manager, is working with the president's advance and logistics team, while Trump's exclusive club, Mar-a-Lago, closes for the summer. She has an official White House email and government-issued phone … She is married to a twice-convicted felon, Ari Rinkus, who is known to brag about his wife's access to the president as he trawls for investors and pursues government contracts on behalf of a foreign company. Her dual role is the latest example of how closely intertwined the president's inner circle is between his business and government. … It also raises questions of whether other Trump Organization employees are quietly employed by the White House, as the administration struggles to staff up amid a chaotic few weeks.”

Where's your manners? Trump pushes aside Montenegro PM at Nato photocall link to video

The article says "appears to", but it seems conclusive. Ugly Americanism is back.

LOL, what a gif.

Trump's face reveals that he knows how douchey he was being. That's the face I sometimes make when I cut someone off in traffic.

Trump called the Germans "bad, very bad" or "evil, very evil" today per Maggie Haberman twitter notifications... she said it was in response to car sales so I assume it was the former but who the fuck knows.

I say I am a hypocrite because I don't buy that argument when it's used to say we spend too much time on Russia instead of policy X, but that's because I think we have the capacity to care about more than one relevant thing fully.

I would like to echo this WRT to the "Trump vs. Obama" memes, etc.

We get it. Obama was more popular. The relevance of the comparison begins and ends there.

You don't think the contrasts are worth noting to create some context? Every administration has it's foibles, follies and failures, but this is already one of the top 5, if not top 3 scandal ridden administrations of all time. It's likely when it ends it will be the most scandalous. Obama was a very flawed President, but I think it helps frame how desperate the times we're in now, when you compare the day to day conversation that revolves around this admin, and compare it to a few years ago where conservative media and folks on this board like jersey whined for weeks that Obama said, "you didn't build that." Trump does or says something way more controversial than that about twice a day. It's wild.

I do think its important to show how trump really is violating long established norms of presidential behavior. I'm not sure comparisons to Obama really do that.
