My cousin is graduated and already has an Actuary job lined up in Connecticut. I didn't know they did recruiting rankings for that kind of thing but he was rated the second most up and coming Actuary in the country. I taught him everything he knows about numbers. Well not really, but I am proud of. Having a big party for him today.

I know a guy who was an actuary, and I guess he must have been pretty highly ranked--he passed all 10 actuarial exams on the first try, which is apparently really hard and unusual. He's pretty rich now and he might become ridiculously wealthy if the start up he's the CEO of takes off.

i am a little concerned with its efficacy at starting a car, as many reviewers have commented. Yep, the thinness of the cables is a giveaway.

One thing I didn't even think of was covered by a reviewer- there is no 'off' switch for the jumper cables. if they're plugged in, they're hot. The pack I have is much larger, but features an on/off switch so you can connect the cables with total safety and then switch it 'on'. I guess you could theoretically clip them on and then plug into the battery. But I'm also not crazy about having to disconnect them when not in use- sure recipe for misplacement (for m anyway).

True, I had similar concerns. Think I'll go a different route.

I've asked the Amazon community whether it suffers from the same malady as the other one, with the jumper leads always being hot when you plug it in. I'll let you know if I receive any answers.

I think I actually may buy one. The hybrid 12v battery doesn't actually start the engine, but it's needed to power up the computer modules that control the car. So if the 12v battery is dead, the car won't go. But it takes very little juice to get the computers going, so this should be just fine. (I can't understand why they can't implement something that can send juice to the 12v system from the 300V battery if necessary.) And have I mentioned how lacking in storage space this vehicle is? I guess that's the tradeoff when you have both an internal combustion engine along with electric motors and a big honking battery. But I may be able to stash this in the little cramped compartment with the jack, so it may be worth the a $33 flyer....
