I'm excited for Trump's response. On one hand Sessions was one of his first major supporter, has the blessing of Bannon, etc. BUT he also stepped on Trump's good news cycle, which is something we all know Trump cares about.

He went after Conway pretty quickly after the Nordstrom thing, I guess. I'd say he's doing the bare minimum for a guy in his position. Which is better than expected!

I think you have largely head the response. In a Terry Gross/Fresh Air session it was said that the Bannon/Sessions alliance is years long and years strong. Sessions is an instrument of that power structure, and essential to the agenda. I am not sure that "they" let Sessions go anywhere.

I will never underestimate the pettiness of our President. He delayed several divisive announcements to ride the high of the good press. Sessions ruined it. I do believe that Bannon's influence will calm down any ill will Trump has from the rain on his parade, but who knows.

Dear god, if we can get Jeff Sessions out of the Senate AND out of the DOJ? That's definitely a silver lining in this whole President Trump dystopian nightmare.

Did your brother name one of his kids Phred? Do you live in Coastal West Virginia (i.e., apparently Delaware)? Would your parents enthusiastically and publicly sign off on the affair? If so, those three would seal the deal.

There's a non-zero chance that the Post held this story until Thursday night to keep it from getting lost after the joint session speech and to maximize the impact on Trump. And I'm perfectly okay with that.

eh...not much to tell, really. She's hot. He's divorced and has told me many times that she is hot and also how just generally awesome and not insane she is (especially compared to his ex-wife who is a complete loony).
