If there's an accident, pretty sure the guy making the left is at fault if you both turn into the left lane. However, you are supposed to turn into the nearest lane and then subsequently switch lanes when clear.

Ok thanks for the explanation. When an oncoming car makes a left at the intersection they usually act like they own the left lane of the road they are turning onto. I admit a sketch of the situation might have been easier

i thought any left hand turn(crossing over a lane of traffic) has the right away. the person making a right has to yield at all times(unless there's a specific light saying otherwise)

Look, it's simply--a bag of M&Ms, a couple of Reeses, and a Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar all cost pretty much the same. In that context, M&Ms are the winner, with Reeses coming in second, and I'd probably pass up a Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar. Pretty much all the other major chocolate bars fall in between Reeses and the Hershey bar. Maybe something like 100 grand>snickers>milky way>Almond Joy and so forth all the way down to three musketeers (blech).

Of course, I'd take something fancy over any of those, but I was in fact, operating in the major mass market chocolate bar world. Cadbury in general is a step up I think, and maybe Lindt/Ghiradelli is yet another step beyond that. None of them are in the candy machine at work though.

And I love the mini-cadbury eggs, and cadbury carmel eggs are ok, but the creme ones are not for me.

No matter the law, I think it's good etiquette to take the right lane only and let the left-hand turner take the left lane if applicable. Why make them wait, especially since there could be other cars behind you going straight that they would then have to wait for if they wait for you to complete your RH turn.

No Jamie, that's dead wrong, unless the left-turner has a green arrow or the right turner has a red light (even sane no-turn-on-red), or if the right turner has a stop sign where the left turner has none.

PA Driver's Manual

Bottom of page 43 (47 of the PDF). If you make a right and go directly into the left lane, I've heard police can pull you over and give you a ticket if they feel like being dicks that day

My mom gave me a piece of chocolate with Starry Night on it somehow. Kind of hate to eat it, but kind of hate to let the chocolate go to waste.
