Honestly, one of the greatest regrets of my life was not just heading out to Berlin in 1989. I didn't really have much money, but I was young and I could have done it. This might be like that.

I carried out my plan to watch on MLB.tv after the game ended, I told everyone I know not to tell me anything, got no updates or anything. Told my brother simply to text me when it was over so I knew when to start checking mlb.tv. Got the message, hooked up the computer to the TV and checked the setup to make sure it was working, phone buzzes, look at it, its a news alert from AP: "BREAKING NEWS Roy Halladay has pitched a no-hitter for Philadelphia in Game 1 of the NL division series"

I don't think I've ever been so pissed and happy at the same time.

i still watched the game on MLB.tv and for added awesome, used the philly radio audio rather than the TBS audio. I didn't realize you could do that, what a great way to watch that game, really made it awesome, just wish I hadn't known going in.

Yup, I don't recall seeing it before either, but I installed the nexdef plugin before the game, and the alt. audio option was only available with the nexdef turned on. It is synched up perfectly, you don't realize you are listening to the radio feed at all.

The call at the end is really priceless, I got dusty eyed watching it and I knew it was going to happen.

he also had a tone (that i perceived anyway) that halladay's paled in comparison to larsen's. it was vintage dallas green, IMO

I saw that interview and actually got the opposite impression from him

It seemed like it would be out of character for him but did Roy really respond to a question about what he planned on getting people within the organzanization to remember this by this time around he said "another ring".
