There isn't anything more beautiful than a Pedro Feliz first-pitch swing at an off-speed pitch

Alright, shutdown inning here strikes me as pretty important.

Gotta get the ass end of their lineup out tonight. If the top of the order beats you, fine, but those turds shouldn't be.

Pedro had his game, and the Yankees got lucky and beat it/him/the Phillies anyway. But he secured his place in my heart phorever with that HR last night. That was soooo awesome. That's all I'm taking from that game.

And yet still made an out. All we can hope is that the Yankees used up every bit of luck they are entitled to in 2009 in games 2-4, plus the first inning of this one.

With his defense and last night (not to mention the WFC-winning RBI), Pete's got a little leeway with me.

Sat next to a guy who claimed to be Gardner's college classmate in the bleachers at Yankee Stadium last year. Says his nickname was "The Squirrel." Seems about right

it was akin to me matching the first 5 numbers in powerball then realizing the ticket was for the prior drawing.

Howard shoulda run through the bag and obliterated Gardner. Let's see who their third-string CF is.

Pedro was great last night. Great great. I said to the stranger next to me I wanted the old Feliz, the "clutch" Feliz back. She said that person was long gone. Then Feliz knocked in Howard to tie the score at 2. Then he came up and hit that fuck-ing HR. Fuck me, that was the greatest fuck-ing thing ever. I HATE HATE HATE Johnny Damon. It's officially pathological.

Franzke made it seem like Howard had a legit play on that ball. They didn't bother on TV.
