correlation between BABIP year before and year after is very low, especially once you account for team defense.

if you look at what percentage of balls in play are infield popups, there is a distinctly higher correlation that is not quite like K and BB but still high.

Does this mean "Pedro good" or "Pedro lucky"?

frankly, I'm good either way
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

warm up bastardo in case loney comes up with runners on, warm up park, but id stick with him.

77 pitches, 50 strikes

I would as well, but I see them getting to his spot this inning with men on base

Jay Jaffe (2:54:27 PM PT): Tweet from MLB.com's Matthew Leach: "According to Gameday, Pedro has now hit 23 different speed readings, including every number from 75 through 92."

Steven Goldman (2:55:46 PM PT): When that pitch came in I shouted "Uh-oh," but Kemp surprised me by not doing anything with it. The main result was the cat looked at me funny.

good, or at least less lucky than one might think looking at the boxscore later. he's had a bit of luck, but he's thrown very good pitches. i would guess that perfect games and no hitters, though obviously containing some lucky BABIP, are probably games where the pitcher is getting a lot of popups.
