Need some MattS elaboration on the "pitchers appear to have some popup influence" remarks from earlier
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

correlation between BABIP year before and year after is very low, especially once you account for team defense.
if you look at what percentage of balls in play are infield popups, there is a distinctly higher correlation that is not quite like K and BB but still high.
