NLDS Game 4: The Fourth Game 10/12/09

Postby smitty » Mon Oct 12, 2009 21:58:36

Best Game Ever.

Victorino has an IQ of 17 but I like him anyway.

I think pitch tracker doesn't work.

I heard a board creak in my house and spent several innings hiding under my bed.

I mentally killed a goat before the ninth inning.

Eric Young Junior is faster than Usain Bolt.

Hoover sighting!!!!!!!!!

Now we face Randy Wolf; Vincente Padilla and Kevin Millwood for the NL flag.

Remember when all those guys were saying the Phils would not make it past the first round of the playoffs because of Lidge?-- He still makes me uncomfortable though.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

That didnt take long!!!!!

I just don't understand it. We have the better offense and the better starting pitching. They have an edge in the bullpen, but not by that much. How can we be the underdogs against everyone.

Well they did sweep the Cardinals (just like they swept the Cubs last year) and have home field advantage for the series. For most of last years NLCS it was a pretty even matchup so you figure this one will be as well.

Except where's their Derek Lowe? The Phillies' starting pitching is better this year, and Manny isn't hitting like he was last year.

Yeh, but that was last year. Their pitching isn't as good and ours is better. I also think their offense isn't as good, though I could be wrong about that.

Split in LA, at least, and make them win in Philly!

the only things that scare me about LA is the lefties kuroda+kershaw+wolf

(also ethier)

if hamels starts game 1 in LA, who starts game 2? lee will be game 3 in philly obviously
