Kind of a disappointing outcome there.

We'll get them whenever they play again.

SRS question. Do you think Hamels is eventually going to scrap the curve? He's been working on it for 3 years and it hasn't improved much at all really. I wonder why he keeps on trying to mix it in, when he keeps getting burned by it. I think both the homers he let up to Crawford in the WS last year were off his curve. I know for sure that the HR in game 1 was off a curve. And now he can add YORVIT TORREFUCKINGABLA to the curveball HR hall of shame.

I'm both pissed off and not-pissed-off about this game.

Eight home playoff wins in a row is pretty good. But dammit, would nine have been too fucking much to ask?

I think we'll win the next game, whenever it is, something like 17-11.

We've already scored more runs and have seven more hits than the entire series in 2007. Plus there's no chance Jose Mesa will appear. So it's already more fun than then.

No, I'm with you. I'm enjoying the ride and all that good stuff. The last few innings of this game were exciting.

Of course, yesterday during the game I was out of my mind with weird anger and such, and they won. Today I was pretty mellow, and they lost. So in a way, my own calm is upsetting me.

Pedro in the locker room: "Happ got hurt...Blanton got used....I'm the last one standing"

On the potential cold/snow: "I'm not scared."

no reason to be angry. if you looked at things like "2009 Stats" and "Day/Night Splits" there was no reason to expect Hamels to outpitch Cook.

Am I looking at things wrong, or has he only pitched one game there in the last ten years or so?

Aside from winning it all in general, I think 2008 spoiled us in that we were never really in any danger. The worst position we were in was tied 1-1 going home for 3 games in the World Series. I think 1980 shows that generally, it's not that easy.
