Kyle is the right handed Cole and the Phils had him in the majors at 22.

As for position players - agreed!

It's a dumb trade because it's terrible value. We could get Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez for close to this package.

That's the year he's scheduled to have his second Tommy John surgery

I don't think it will take that, but if it was 1 hour to deadline and that was the ONLY way we'd get him THIS year. Yes. I would do it. For reasons I've explained ad infinitum in other threads...

The only thing I nix is a deal that involves Happ because Happ is here now and being effective and we need him for this years run. WFCs are too rare and too hard to come by. Roy elevates us to another level. THose others are all about maybe some day...

AGAIN -- I don't think it will take that to get it done. I suspect 2 pitchers of one of whom is Drabek, and 1 of the outfielders and 2 others.
