In the mlb parks aren’t they just putting computer graphic overlays over the empty sections? Seems like an easy fix for hockey to do the same.

I hope it doesn't make Montreal play inspired because I was hoping we could beat them Friday and get them thinking that beating the Pens was enough to hang their hat on this year. Canadians will come out with a lot of energy on Friday.

Charlie: The Flyers have only went up 2-0 in a series twice since the 2004 lockout. Feels like they should have done it more times, no? Well, they'll have an opportunity to pull it off in a little over 12 hours.

National hockey guy at the athletic got a couple coaches, gm, and strength coach to watch game 1 of the Flyers/Canadians series together and agree to share their text message chain. Pretty cool insider look at the game, Farabee and Laughton get a lot of praise specifically and JVR gets called out a few times for bad habits and stuff he does. Worth a read

Most of these playoffs games have been very tight, I guess no home ice advantage and the games are pretty even. Probably 1 goal game either way today.

What's interesting is I saw the Flyers say the ice they played on Wednesday was the best they've played on in the bubble.

his main issue is that the flyers prospects are absolutely yoked so his path to the nhl is much more difficult here than most other teams he could sign with later. kinda like cooper marody.
