At this point, if every team can get 48-54 games in, that's a huge win. We can have our expanded October Madness tourney and watch a 28-win team hoist the trophy.

It's tempting to pile on the Marlins, but this is an opportunity for them and MLB to publicize the contact tracing process (don't even need names) and alert everyone exactly how this outbreak got going. I'm not very confident that will happen though...we'll probably just go with "someone brought it into the clubhouse, then they got on the bus and plane".

I suggest a lifetime ban for Mattingly. He did more to damage the game this weekend than Pete Rose.

I would really like to know who is responsible for Covid testing for Mlb teams.We have heard about the covid tests in fla. that are positive before they have even been administered.I ain’t a Doctor by any means.but to go from 3 positive tests to 15 overnight?

Nats star Juan Soto and others involved suspect he got a false positive now that he’s had 10 straight negative tests. He was cleared yesterday by MLB but DC rules delayed his return til Aug 1 and Nats’ off days (they had been scheduled to play Miami) pushes his debut to Aug. 4.

Cardinals at Brewers PPD tonight due to positive tests for StL. I don't know how long they can go on acting like these are rainouts, if it takes a week to make sure there's no outbreak.
