I think I mentioned before, my cousin was roommates with him when they were in the minors together. Summer of 92 we were on vacation in Illinois visiting family, and Grotewold left us tickets when the Phillies were in St. Louis. We go to the will call window and tell the guy our names and that Jeff Grotewold left tickets for us. The guy said “Hmm…I’ve never heard of him”. I incredulously pronounced “He’s the guy who hit all the pinch hit home runs!”.

Yeah also maybe if Cliff went on 3 days rest like CC did. Maybe not though that Yankees team had like 6 hall of famers if not for roids, no shame in losing to them. Would have been nice if anyone could have gotten Matsui out though.

It was tied up in the 7th or 8th before Damon stole all the bases.
