And this is how you know it's a flat out lie. How in the heck could Greeenwell know how hard Gritty could punch? It's an exaggerated expression that often indicates the rest of the conversation is also exaggerated or untrue.

Not true the second the story doesn’t indicate that the dad went after gritty. No chance a dad would not immediately hit back or cause an immediate commotion.

gritty taking a run at a bratty 12 year old kid even made the local news out here. i believe the kid/dad's story tho. however totally support gritty's response and feel it was both justified and well within in the legality of the mascot judicial code.

i've seen the nittany lion take some swings in the student section and a friend tried to rip out the phanatic's tongue. that didn't end well for the 11 year old girl either.

So I clicked your link and it took me to some weird video of a woman driving crazily. Quoting you I see that it should have taken me to a post about the Gritty LEGO being a limited edition item at Andy’s Brick Shop

Looks like the Flyers will be meeting with the NHL tomorrow to discuss their shitty schedule, hoping for less back-to-backs in the future

Why do we have 10 days between games? ASG was last Saturday, weird

Adding onto that, the past few years, the bye weeks were spread throughout the season, but this year they're all immediately before or after the All-Star break

Add to the issue of the back to backs, there was the opening of the season in Europe followed on the heels by the West coast trip. The Flyers most likely will not get much sympathy from the league because the teams out west travel so much.

Didn't the Flyers ask to have the West Coast trip right after the home opener?

Yes, the Flyers asked for this. The Blackhawks asked for home games and they were granted it, but the Flyers wanted to get travel out of the way early on.

Looking at all the inter-conference visits, the Flyers don't seem to have it any harder than anyone else. The central/midwest teams can split their trips up more because they can go east or west easily, but the coastal teams seem to have a similar amount of trips, with the California teams having only 4 trips (Anaheim's visit to Carolina was at the end of a CHI/STL/NSH trip before the All-Star break).

The Flyers' western trips this year:
VAN/CGY/EDM ... CHI ... COL/MIN/WPG ... SJ/ANA/LA/VGK/AZ ... STL ... DAL/NSH

Compared to other Eastern teams:

Carolina = LA/SJ/ANA ... MIN/CHI ... EDM/VAN/CGY/WPG/COL ... STL/AZ/VGK/DAL ... NSH
Columbus = CHI ... STL ... AZ/COL ... WPG ... LA/ANA/SJ/VGK ... NSH ... MIN ... CGY/EDM/VAN ... DAL
New Jersey = WPG/CGY/EDM/VAN ... NSH/DAL/COL/AZ ... CHI ... STL ... SJ/LA/ANA/VGK ... MIN
NY Islanders = WPG ... SJ/ANA/LA ... DAL ... CHI/MIN ... NSH/VGK/AZ/COL ... STL ... VAN/CGY/EDM
NY Rangers = NSH ... VGK/LA/SJ/ANA ... EDM/CGY/VAN ... STL ... WPG/MIN ... CHI ... DAL/COL/AZ
Pittsburgh = MIN/WPG ... DAL ... STL ... CGY/EDM/VAN/NSH ... VGK/COL/AZ ... LA/ANA/SJ ... CHI
Washington = STL ... NSH/DAL ... CHI/CGY/EDM/VAN ... SJ/LA/ANA ... COL/AZ/VGK ... WPG/MIN

Boston = DAL/AZ/VGK/COL ... NSH ... WPG/MIN ... CHI ... EDM/CGY/VAN ... ANA/LA/SJ ... STL
Buffalo = ANA/LA/SJ ... CHI ... CGY/VAN/EDM ... STL ... DAL/NSH ... COL/VGK/AZ/WPG ... MIN
Detroit = NSH ... VAN/CGY/EDM ... ANA/LA/SJ ... WPG ... DAL/CHI ... COL/MIN ... AZ/VGK ... STL
Florida = NSH ... CGY/EDM/VAN/COL ... MIN/CHI ... SJ/ANA/LA/VGK/AZ ... STL/DAL ... WPG
Montreal = STL/MIN ... AZ/VGK/DAL ... VAN/CGY/EDM/WPG ... ANA/LA/SJ/COL ... CHI/NSH
Ottawa = VGK/AZ/DAL ... MIN/CGY/VAN/EDM ... WPG/COL ... NSH ... SJ/ANA/LA/CHI/STL
Tampa Bay = STL/CHI ... NSH ... MIN/WPG ... DAL/LA/ANA/SJ ... COL/VGK/AZ .. VAN/EDM/CGY
Toronto = CHI ... VGK/AZ/COL ... STL/VAN/CGY/EDM ... MIN/WPG ... NSH/DAL ... SJ/LA/ANA

Looking at the Western teams coming east:

Chicago = PHI ... CAR ... PIT ... BOS/NJ ... CBJ ... OTT/MON/TOR ... TB/FLA ... DET ... WSH ... BUF ... NYI/NYR
Colorado = WSH/PIT/FLA/TB ... TOR/MON/BOS ... NJ/NYI/NYR ... PHI/BUF/OTT/CBJ ... CAR/DET (w/ NSH in between)
Dallas = DET/WSH ... BUF/CBJ/PIT/PHI ... TB/FLA ... NJ/NYR/NYI ... TOR/MON/OTT ... CAR/BOS
Minnesota = OTT/TOR/MON ... BUF ... BOS/NYR/NJ ... FLA/TB/CAR ... PIT ... DET/CBJ ... PHI ... NYI/WSH
Nashville = TB ... DET ... CAR/FLA ... BUF ... NYR/NYI/OTT/BOS ... PIT ... WSH/NJ ... MON/TOR/CBJ ... PHI
St. Louis = TOR/OTT/MON/NYI ... BOS/DET ... CBJ ... TB ... PIT ... BUF ... NYR/NJ ... PHI/CAR/FLA/WSH
Winnipeg = NYR/NJ/NYI/PIT ... FLA/TB ... DET ... MON/TOR/BOS ... CAR/CBJ ... OTT/PHI/BUF/WSH

Anaheim = DET/PIT/CBJ/BOS ... WSH/FLA/TB ... PHI/NJ/NYI/NYR ... CAR ... OTT/MON/TOR/BUF
Arizona = NYR/NYI/NJ/BUF ... WSH ... CBJ/PHI/PIT ... DET ... FLA/TB/CAR ... BOS/MON/TOR/OTT
Calgary = CAR/CBJ/WSH (w/ NSH in between) ... PHI/PIT/BUF ... MON/TOR/OTT ... DET/BOS/TB/FLA (w/ NSH in between) ... NYR/NYI/NJ
Edmonton = NYI/NJ/NYR ... DET/CBJ/PIT ... BUF/BOS/TOR/MON ... TB/FLA/CAR ... PHI/WSH/OTT
Los Angeles = TOR/OTT/MON ... PIT/DET/BOS/CBJ/BUF ... CAR/TB/FLA/PHI ... WSH/NYI/NJ/NYR
San Jose = BUF/MON/TOR/OTT/BOS ... CAR/TB/FLA ... DET/PIT/CBJ/WSH ... NJ/NYR/NYI/PHI
Vancouver = NJ/NYR/DET ... WSH/PHI/PIT ... TB/FLA/BUF ... NYI/CAR/BOS ... MON/OTT/TOR/CBJ
Vegas = PIT/PHI ... CBJ/TOR/WSH/DET ... NYR/NJ/NYI ... BUF/OTT/MON/BOS ... CAR/TB/FLA (w/ NSH in between)

Remaining Flyers back-to-backs after doing 10 of them already:
@PIT/COL
FLA/@NYI
@WSH/CAR
MIN/EDM
@DAL/@NSH
@NJ/PIT
@NYR/NSH

Toast? Charcoal? They are one point out of WC2, two points of out WC1 and three points back of third in the division. They move to within five points of second with a win tomorrow night in Pittsburgh. They have won five of their last seven with all those injuries and illnesses, including wins over Washington, Boston, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh.
