he obviously sucks, but hextall has given him two mediocre ahl goalies at this point. they have an .887 save pct. that's horrific. he needs to go too.

I don't follow the Flyers as closely as the other teams, but it does seem like Hextall's time should be about up.

Yeah, I get the idea that they wanted to wait out the bad contracts while drafting and developing young guys etc. but keeping G, Simmonds and Jake while doing nothing to try to be competitive is dumb. I don’t know who/what would have been better options in goal, but this is just stupid. If you are going to blow it up, then blow it up and move the veterans that have value.

His problem is that he's too loyal. Hexy has given Hakstol too many chances since he talked him out of a great job at North Dakota to come here. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out and it's time to cut the cord. Don Cherry said it tonight; Hakstol just doesn't get what pro hockey is at this level.

Thought they had like a 5 game penalty free streak last year
