I agree; his giveaway on that first SJ goal was brutal. Oh, no, wait, that was Provorov. Maybe I'm thinking of the time Hakstol didn't pick up Pavelski on SJ's second goal. Crap, I'm wrong again - that was MacDonald. Now that I'm thinking about it, Hakstol wasn't on the ice for any of the EIGHT goals allowed last night. To be clear, I am not a huge Dave Hakstol fan but last night was entirely on the players. They fucking sucked and if I had actually attended that game, I'd be demanding a refund today.

Not much of a hot take after a few seasons. He and Hextall are both awful, but I don’t even know who’s in charge above them so they’re probably around forever.

Heh, I tried to put it on while I was cooking dinner but changed the channel because it hadn't started. By the time I remembered again it was 4-0 so I didn't bother.

I have no doubt that if this was 10 years ago Snider would fire Hextall after this year if they didn't get to 2nd round but I think Hextall still has a ton of leash.

He definitely does. He'll be here at least 3 more seasons after this one I imagine.

Well, the good news is that they hit the ice again immediately with an opportunity to put last night behind them. I assume we will also see the Flyers debut of Calvin Pickard.
