Tension in the clubhouse. Jason Vargas had to be separated from going after Tim Healey of Newsday.
Incident started with Mickey Callaway cursing out Healey for being an antagonist.
Callaway told the public relations staff to “Get this motherfucker” out of the clubhouse and when Healey didn’t leave, Vargas got into a stare down with him. Words were exchanged and Vargas had to be restrained from him.

Not sure what else they have planned but their schedule is set up for them to make a little run the next few weeks.
They are six out of the wild card and 5 games under .500, seems like a weird decision to make a trade like this to go for it this year.

As part of their internal shakeup, have learned the Mets will not be retaining Ruben Amaro Jr., a special assistant to the GM and previous 1B coach.
Mets are also dismissing Pro Scouting Director Jim D'Aloia, and at least three other scouts (as noted by @martinonyc)

Tonight, the #Mets played the 9,232nd game in franchise history. And it was the first game they lost after blowing a lead of at least 6 runs in the 9th inning or later, as Greg Amsinger just said on @MLBNetwork.
