Since the SD Chx was sent into exile, PHL leads the world in mascots. It also gives off season work to the Phanatic staff.

Personally, I like a mascot that you look at and you say (1) "What the hell is that thing?" and/or (2) "What the hell does this have to do with the team?"

It's part of the allure of the Phanatic. So, I like Gritty.

CBS' morning news show has a segment where they catch you up with the world in 90 seconds. It's the lead in to their morning telecast. Within this 90 seconds, they showed gritty and basically said "see you in your nightmares Flyers fans". Already a national laughing stock.
