The Panthers have been on an insane run and the Devils have been playing really well. As of tonight, I think if Flyers/Panthers/Devils win out the Devils miss out on the 2nd wild card to the Flyers to a tiebreaker. But the Devils schedule is easier for the remaining 6 contests than it has been for the last 7, which were bruutal and took 10 points anyway. Panthers have a few tough games coming up this week, but they've been winning shit for a while now.

This is to say the aim to win/lose efficiently to get to the 1st wild card seems like an extraordinarily brazen/ambitious goal. Because finishing 9th would be a pretty fast elimination. I would like to put myself on the record for being in favor of the Flyers not taking any and all points available when possible.

I mean, it goes without saying that the team isn't purposefully doing this. They're just a .500 team, and like most .500 teams they don't go every other, they go on streaks. Our last three games are imminently winnable, which means we will lose to the Rangers with the playoffs on the line.

Blues can't lose.
