Crazy to think just yesterday I was in the same room as Roy Halladay listening to him give a presentation. RIP to a legend. So sad man

Yeah. He also was working the PA system with music and the volume of the announcer. He played "I'm Every Woman" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" for his kid's walkup music. His kid was big but not great in the few at bats I saw.

I was sitting right behind home plate, and the PA was right in front of me...during the national anthem I whispered to my wife -- That's Roy Halladay -- and she had just seen him and knew it was him at the same time. Waited until the game was over; my friend who's an ortho surgeon for a number of teams went up to him and talked to him, and I just followed by saying I was a big Phillies fan, and I enjoyed watching him pitch, and thanked him for what he did for the team. A few minutes alter, I saw my son was done with the team meeting (they usually take 20 minutes) - I asked him if I could bother him for a picture with Loblaw Jr, and he said it was no problem... Went to the dugout and asked if he wanted to meet Roy Halladay...dropped his catchers gear, came back out he made some small talk with Roy, snapped the pic, thanked him again, he extended his arm to shake for a second time, and we said goodbye.

I guess as long as you're not drooling or asking for autos or anything like that, there's no issue. I thought about mentioning the Zoo thing, but . . .

We won, btw.
