Morin will be a fan favorite by this time next year. I'm guessing top 7 to begin the season are Ghost/Gudas/Provorov/Manning/AMac/Morin/Hagg. With hopefully Sanheim coming up during the season to replace Manning or AMac.

I sure hope they bring in someone outside of the current group in Free Agency. A top 4 Dman would be great to add and not have to rely on all the young guys.

i'm not sure why people thought they'd be anything more than mediocre. compare their roster to other teams and it's easy to see why they didn't make the playoffs.

It didn't help that G never fully recovered from surgery and seemed invisible most of the season (he has 1 more goal than Coots and almost half of Schenn's total). He's being paid to score and isn't.

Having a revolving door at goaltender for 20 years hasn't helped either

More than just this year... this is an organization that was in the mix every year and now outside a lightning in a bottle Finals run in 2010, is a struggle to sneak into the playoffs every year... same story each year... goalie carousel and prolonged mid season slumps where they stop scoring and stop winning for a month or so at a time... I'm sure this happens to other teams but it seems to be the same pattern here every year

They don't have good players at Even Strength is what it comes down to almost every year. Their PP in the past has been top 5, which will win you a lot of games. A good PP masks a lot of things and it has for this team for years.

Indeed, the Flyers' 122 5v5 goals rank ahead of only New Jersey and Colorado. For reference, Minnesota leads the league with 182 goals 5v5. If the Flyers did not lead the league in PP opportunities, they might have been eliminated in January rather than late March/early April.
