They played like 200 games a year back then too. Good times.

Exactly seven years plus as long as I took to getting around to posting it ago today, the Rangers beat the O's 30-3.

Old friend Marlon Byrd drove in four and scored four. Wes Littleton of the Rangers "earned" a save.

I wonder if he prefers three-piece, business casual, or sweater.

At some point next year, the Cubs lineup could look something like this:

Alcantara CF
Castro SS
Baez LF
Rizzo 1B
Bryant 3B
Soler RF
Russell 2B
Some catcher C

Sweet jesus.

I'm sure they will trade someone for pitching (probably Castro) but it's a good time to be a Cubs fan.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

I've wondered for a while which is more uncommon: throwing a perfect game, or doing what Mike Grace did in 1997, and pitching a complete game facing the minimum number of hitters without throwing a perfect game. I'd think the latter, but then again I haven't ever heard of anyone other than Mike Grace pulling that off.

Babe Ruth was a pitcher in 1917. He walked the first guy. Argued with the ump, punched the ump and got tossed. Ernie Shore comes in. Baserunner tries to steal. Out at 2B. Shore retires the next 26 guys. Gets credit for a perfect game. Later it's changed to a no-hitter shared by two pitchers.

I ran a b-r game index search on 9-inning shutouts with 27 batters faced and at least one baserunner and got 69 from 1914 to present

The AL West has the 1st, 2nd, and 4th best teams in the run differential category. The lowest of the 3, the Angels, are at +99. The next closest team is Baltimore at +66.

I wonder what kind of odds you could have gotten on that before the season. For one thing, it's just hard to do because they have to play each other.

It pays to be racist if it helps the ratings. I hope they send him to the Congo and he gets Ebola. He'll probably think he got it from a black person who got it from fucking a monkey.

Remember Carlos Carrasco? He's killing it lately. Throws his fastball 96-99 MPH and has a wipeout slider. Took a long time but he's been pitching like an ace recently. Wonder how long he keeps this up?
