Flyers 09-10 Season Thread v.4.0: Boucher is Jacob

I'm a Sixers guy, who casually follows the Flyers during the playoffs, but I wouldn't mind going on Friday night just for something to do if there are some nice deals out there on Craigslist, StubHub, etc. What's the deal? Are those tickets not even being sold by the Flyers, or are people just not showing up.

Traffic is always a disaster when there's two events in the sports complex, so i know there were a lot of people who weren't there for the start due to traffic issues. A lot of the seats were filled in later in the game.

The other issue is that it's so damn expensive to go to a playoff game anymore, upstairs tickets other than the top three rows are $90 each. It used to be that you had to be a season ticket holder to get to the playoff games, now there's a lot of people who have canceled their tickets due to the economy that I've been getting daily emails about lower level seats being available for any playoff game but again at $140 each that's a lot of money.

Holy shit. It costs $90 to sit upstairs? Jesus. Maybe I won't be attending Friday... I guess I'm spoiled by the Sixers prices. I figured I could get a decent seat up top for $50 on Friday night... Maybe not.

I was there last night.

As I posted yesterday afternoon, there were about 1500 tickets still available as of 4:00 yesterday. There were empties all over the building basically in every section, and as mentioned above, there were full patches of empty seats in both parks of the upper deck and lower level.

There were probably about 1,000 empty seats total.

Now, I don't want to cause an alarm, but I think tonight's game is a definite must win.

I think we all know how this series is going to turn out at this point but I'd really rather they not get swept.

Down 0-1 on a Recchi rebound, late 1st pd. Not much offensive pressure. :(

Near flawless penalty kill, not sure if that's just Bruins being inept though.

2-1 Flyers! Pronger from the point, or maybe Carcillo deflection.

Goal credited to Pronger, now Carcillo sent off for cross checking with 14 min left in 2nd.

Another great penalty kill, Richards singlehandedly ate up about 25-30 seconds with shorthanded pressure.

Giroux stuffs it in and it's 3-1! The first 9 minutes of this period have been beautiful.

Bruins narrow to 3-2 with 8 min left in 2nd. Not sure how, was mesmerized by Valdez bases loaded heroics.
