Phillies @ Dodgers NLCS Game 4 Thread

Postby Stay_Disappointed » Tue Oct 14, 2008 12:53:09

I admit I had made a conscious decision to go half-asleep at around 10:40 pm. I'm glad my brain wouldn't let me.
I would rather see you lose than win myself

I'm sure it was discussed earlier but watching it on the DVR last night (in real time but had to rewind about 5 times to hear it over and over) - Dobbs high fiving Lidge after the win and yelling "F*&^ Yeah!" loud enough to hear over FOX was priceless.

I didn't look through this entire thread, but was there a clip of Lowe's hissy fit in the dugout from the first inning?

"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

This thread in a partial reread is just like the game... it feels like it is 9 hours long. I am ready for a close out and reset where the team goes into the series and remembers that the top 5 know how to put some numbers on the board. The emotional roller coaster is really over the top.

wait - why was Harry not calling this in the 8th inning. Have to live with a Tmac call with LA choking in the background.

I bet you kids get invited to all the cool parties too.

the ups and downs of a 6 hour time difference:
the family and i had to get up at 5 this morning to catch a train to amsterdam in time for our daughter's passport renewal appointment. that meant that i got the gamecast on just in time for the victorino homerun. had to leave before the bottom of the 9th, though, and didn't get the final result until this evening.

What amused me was no one on the Dodgers seemed even the slightest bit surprised by it

I guess he's their Myers

is there anywhere online where you can watch highlights of last nights game with the Phils radio announcers rather than the generic highlights on MLB.com with the FOX team?
Its not so much me as it is Roenick... he's good. --swingers
