Hopefully the real top of the list was obscured so Berger couldn't see that he was actually looking at the bottom of the list.

he's just making stuff up. Shaw is busy coaching the Pacers. the Sixers probably don't even know who they'll pick to pick the head coach yet.

pointless exercise but it's oddly cathartic for me:

I'd be OK with Shaw.

But holy shit thank god Brown went back to Cleveland. When are teams going to stop hiring Mike Brown?

I mean, he's never been a head coach, so that's good, but as far as I can tell his qualifications are:

1. Coached Lebron.
2. Did good work in NOLA for a year.
3. Is now the defensive-minded coach of a team that doesn't play any defense.

I mean, he seems like a guy who's been on the next-man-up list for a while, but there's a couple guys on that list, and Malone isn't my favorite amongst them.

Clearly. I mean, geez, the Cavs might fire him again before the Lakers are done paying him.

Too bad Vuc would've been stapled to the bench.

not sure why Brown deserves so much derision. couldn't get the Cavs over the hump but his rosters were weak after LeBron and James had some awful final series where they got eliminated during those years. last year, was 41-25 in LA with an old team on the shortened schedule. is there so much shame in losing to the Thunder in the second round? then got totally hosed this year. I don't want him for the Sixers or anything but he's eminently qualified

Didn't they fire him to appease LeBron and weren't they trying to get in the running for LeBron next summer? Seems like an odd decision unless they (1) aren't going after LeBron or (2) think he wants to win on a second go around in Cleveland with his old coach. But I don't know why they'd assume (2) so if that's the case, I'm guessing they know something that nobody else does.

I know its a hot topic but is there really any reason to think he'd go back? they probably just don't want to base their coaching decision on a pipe dream

There's a fairly large sentiment that LeBron might leave next offseason (especially if he wins one or two more titles). If he does, Cleveland seems to be at the top of the list of potential destinations so that he could both go home and make things right with Cavs fans.

He might have also said something suggesting that it's possible.

It would be the greatest thing in history if he fuels those rumors for a year then does another "decision" show and announces he's staying in Miami.

I guess. I know there's a lot of buzz to that effect but 1 its not even his home, 2 the owner slagged him off in comic sans, 3 the fans were burning his jersey in the streets. I just don't get it.
