I'm not going to get in to much about Donald Mussolini, tons already has been written and stated. What I do have to say, is that our system of govt., and so-called "democracy" is broken.

I believe in proportional representation, and much more of a parliamentary style system with a Prime Minister - not a President with 'executive order powers'. But no democratic system is going to work, when powerful money interests control the landscape and agenda.

It's ludicrous to give a state like Montana 2 Senators, when there are cities in this country with more people and more economic and social activity. There is a disproportion of control, due also to things like jerry-mandering and redistricting in the favor of Neo-Con or Tea Party republicans. As well, this "appt for life" with the Supreme Court is also not working for me. When appts like Clarence unqualified Thomas and then a young Roberts to be head with a 30+ year career ahead - means that it's not independent body protecting the constitution but a political body there to serve the corporate or idealogicial interests of one group.

The back-lash to "politically correct multi-culturalism" is clear - and sad in many instances though understandable. The angry white man always votes against his own class interest. As if the Donald is really his peer or friend. The momentum of history happens regardless.

I'd prefer a world and country at least, that was more peaceful, less toxic, MUCH more egalitarian, and with much less hypocrisy and greater fairness.

How much is enough wealth for any individual and their family? Really...? Corps should be more influential than the people with laws and policies?

Anyone who wants to be a climate-change denier should be barred from office and sent to school for re-educating.

I don't know what will happen soon, first 100 days or next 4 years - I believe Trump is a despicable psychopath narcissist and likely rapist - and cheater in business and miserable wretch of a human being. Will he shake things up? perhaps. Will he really borrow money and spend on jobs programs for infrastructure? Will he stand up to the Ryans and their agenda to overturn Roe Wade and dismantle social security?

Will this foment unrest? Can the majority who did not vote for him, just sit back and accept whatever is meted out?

We shall see.

As a middle-age man with lots of "prior conditions" and health challenges - not excited to see any backwards movement on medical - though I"d prefer universal and govt subsidized and I sure hope SS is there when I get there.

There are many different Americas, but the modern world that is represented in large cities like NYC, LA, Chicago, Phila., etc... can't keep being f'd over by backwater Mississipi and Patriots in Montana and Idaho.
