Is there a name for the phenomenon where you think or read a word and then hear that same word at the same time from a different source? I was just reading an article and read the word “carport”. I was listening to something completely unrelated on YouTube and they said the word “carport” at the exact same time as I was thinking/reading it. Feel like this happens more often than one would expect. Maybe it’s some sort of Easter egg or clue into the nature of our simulated reality, or a glitch in the matrix?

Baader Meinhof phenomenom seems to come closest to describing it, although there are other terms attached to it, including "frequency illusion."

The name of this phenomenon threw me for a loop, since i knew the Baader Meinhof gang actually stemmed from two members of it and the connection seemed odd. But apparently it wasn't coined until the 90's, inspired by someone hearing a number of references to the aforementioned gang in quick succession.

Quasi hot pima girl next to me...I'm 5'8 can palm a basketball (not off the dribble) and she got bigger hands than me. Does this think what I think it does?

Yes, it's the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. Kind of related to recency bias / priming. You know it now so you're sort of primed to notice it.

Exciting ride home - 1) Guy in a black Jeep Wrangler almost changed lanes into me. I leaned on the horn, and he corrected. Then he gets behind me and starts leaning on the horn, waving both middle fingers at me, yelling, etc. He tailgated me for about a mile. Next time I'll just let you hit me?

2) Guy just south of Rt. 70 on 295 N must have had a heart attack or fell asleep or something because he appeared to have driven about 50 ft. off the road into a tree. Must have just happened because there were a few people helping the guy but the cops/paramedics weren't there yet. I imagine 295 North is a shit show right now.

3) At 4:40 PM "Who Are You" was playing on both 102.9 and 93.3. How about that?

When I was driving home yesterday, Nuthin but a G Thang was on Fly. I switched to Backspin as soon as that was over and The Next Episode was just starting. I barely even had time to chill.

My only regret for moving to az is that I can only bring out the pea coat maybe a half a dozen times at best. Chicks dig the pea coat.

Stopped into Midtown II on 18th street with my wife around 9 last night. Sat at the bar and some old man falls into the diner with a cake and proclaims it's his birthday so he has the bartender cut it up and give everyone at the bar a slice. 10 minutes later an older couple comes in completely wasted and tells us they are going to an art gala at Drexel...the lady then tells me that playing Phil Collins is a turn on and I should do it for my wife when we get home. Got on the 10 pm train back to Delco...love that fucking place.

Surprised to learn there still is a Midtown II. And your description of it makes me think it is still 1986 in there. Is it save to assume that Midtowns I, III, and IV are around?
