Mining the BSG Braintrust aka Random Questions

Mining the BSG Braintrust aka Random Questions

Postby TenuredVulture » Sat Dec 19, 2015 11:55:30

So I just learned that DUI and DWI were different things--Driving under the influence, I guess, and driving while intoxicated. What's the difference?

Also, should this be its own thread or should such matters simply go into the random thoughts thread?

Random thoughts thread is too . . . Random. We can use this as a less random thread.

That said, I don't know the difference between DWI and DUI.

Just looked it up. The two terms are often used interchangeably. Depends on the state. In some cases a DWI is worse. A higher BAC and a more serious offense.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

My guess...

DWI : Driving While Intoxicated = booze
DUI : Driving Under Influence = booze or weed/drugs

I think you need to frame your response in the form of a question?

Interestingly, (or maybe not), the first question posted in this this thread was raised again recently in the context of asking why Pat Burrell was used primarily as a left fielder? Turns out the majority of "playable" fly balls (not home runs) in the majors are actually hit to the opposite field, rather than pulled?

And how long can I maintain this rising inflection at the end of statements to make them appear they're questions?
