I grew up in the 'Dale right near NP high school, then after high school graduation my mom moved right near where phatj is, but she moved probably like 5 years ago and I haven't spent as much time there. My friends still in the area are stoked about the new Butcher and Barkeep, which sounds like it's near your new place.

Between my gf and I, we have 12 weddings this year. (Going back from October '13 to September '14.)

I'm a groomsmen in five.

Of the 12, only 4 are in NY or Philly. Already went to one in San Francisco. Others are in Dallas, New Orleans, two in Montreal, one in Toronto and one in Tuscany, Italy.

I'm only missing one. And that's only because it's the same night as another. I'm basically working this entire year to pay for flights, hotels and wedding gifts. Crazy.

As someone with tens of thousands of posts on an Internet message board, some of which I've been proud of for being good burns, I am probably too disdainful of people who engage in insult fests in comment sections on news or sports websites or YouTube. But god those people are the worst and I do not understand what motivates a person to do that at all.

Also break has totally fucking destroyed my sleep schedule. Setting the alarm for 10:30 tomorrow in a halfhearted attempt to reassert normalcy. O/U at snooze hits is 4.

Man, I don't know about that Tuscany wedding. I'd skip that without feeling bad.

You probably also have bachelor parties for these weddings, which you can probably skip if it's a non-local party.

Yes, you can skimp on a gift to a destination wedding. $500 or whatever it costs to get there is most of the gift, IMO.

Agree with werthless 100%!!! Btw... Am I the only would be groom to use all of his own money to pay for a wedding? Oh well I guess, at least I didn't feel bad canceling a couple of times.
