Was driving and had to stop quickly. When I went to press on the gas again, nothing. Just revved up not going anywhere. Sitting on the side of the road now. Transmission?

Yeah. Sounds like transmission is sticking.

My old car would get out of that if I reversed a little before going back into drive. Fun times.
