The direct tv commercials for the Genie are so obnoxious. Talk about ultimate first world problems. Get fucking real.

Unfortunately I don't recover from 13 hours of drinking like I used to you. Expecting tomorrow to be a bloodbath as my unsympathetic wife acts unsympathetically.

Whatever. I #$!&@ love titties. Worth the bill.

Why do they do that? It's like they are that dick Wonka meme those couple times a year you wanna go out and have fun.

btw, if it makes you feel any better, the circumstances don't really play into it. I was out at a lumberyard fire until 3AM, and I'd get the same treatment if I tried to claim any extra rest or whatnot.

This x 1,000,000,000

The live version off the First Set Live Album is my daughter's and I favorite song to listen to...when she was three, she heard it playing one morning, and asked what that cool sounding instrument was...I said it was Warren Haynes and his guitar...

Whipping Post was always my favorite song from these guys but there are a bunch of great ones.

Oh wow. Haven't thought about this one in a while. Dickie Betts if I'm not mistaken. Not Greg Allman but he brought some nice change-up vocals to the band as I recall.

Eat a Peach was pretty good. I know a fellah to whom Duane Allman still owes ten bucks. Don't think he gonna collect on that one.

Gottfried? fractured beak? you're ALIVE?!?

I have no idea why I spelled that Godfrey. I swear that the older I get, the more difficult it becomes to transfer things from my brain to my fingers. I find that half of my posts end up missing words

plus you've got that old guy ramble thing coming on - don't believe me, ask smitty, or nicholson. Nah, he's p young, swiggers maybe; grizzled veteran?

anyway, stay away from the hootch - it does those symptoms absolootlely no good

I'm not THAT old.

PtK is the standard bearer of "old guy ramble" around here.

I'm No Angel by Greg Allman is one of the funnier videos I've seen. Good song too.

I'm beginning to wonder if they are ever going to find him. Dude might be dead from suicide or the elements or might have completely fallen off the grid.

It is rather surprising that with virtually all of Southern California law enforcement searching for this guy that he seems to have simply vanished into thin air with no trace of him for days (that we know of anyway). Of course, with the actions of some of these officers, maybe it's not surprising. I guess if they shoot at enough cars they might find something.

Are they really as incompetent as they appear, or are they in an impossible situation? I guess if they keep shooting indiscriminately, then they really aren't so racist. 20 years ago, I'd bet they'd be shooting at black people, not people in trucks who happen to be non-black.

I would say the officers in this situation are very incompetent. I don't know enough to speak about the rest of the force.

My pseudo obsession this winter is my fireplace and the entire process of building a fire. We had a tree chopped down out back and they left a bunch of wood, so I got an ax (really, a maul), and I spend like an hour each Sat and Sunday splitting that wood. Splitting a piece in one swing makes you feel like Paul Bunyan on HGH, and the act of building a fire inside while drinking a beer is something I now look forward to. I'm a simple, simple man.
