I'm a democrat because it allows me to vote in primaries.

Corey Booker has pissed off a lot of Dems for his criticisms of Obama and other dems and his cowtowing to some Reps and Wall Street

Booker like the majority of voters sees the DEM-olished party as nauseating. Its time the Bookster comes aboard a real party.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia: “I’m frankly not concerned about the Norquist pledge.”

Atlanta Journal Constitution wrote:Poll Position: Who is GOP’s best choice for U.S. Senate?
There’s been a lot of speculation for some time now about who in the Georgia GOP might challenge U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss in a primary when he’s up for re-election in 2014. That speculation owes to a couple of issues on which he’s strayed from the main Republican Party line, most recently and notably with his openness to revenue increases via his work with the Gang of Six in the Senate....

....In an article posted last night, Roll Call suggests another possible challenger to Chambliss is Congressman Paul Broun of Athens.

yeah, they mean THIS Paul Broun:

there aren't enough  s in the whole  ing world to express the  fulness of the present Republican "party"

just wanted to beat Jerz to post this news here:

NYTimes wrote:New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's approval rating has leaped 19 percentage points since superstorm Sandy slammed the state...The Republican governor, who will face re-election in 2013 and is considered a contender for the U.S. presidency in 2016, has a 67 percent favorability rating among registered voters in the state, up from 48 percent in October

I'm predicting a Big Boy/Boss summit sometime in Q1 '13

Never really thought Booker would run against him but have to think this makes it even more unlikely.

it's so weird that everyone seems to have just swept under the rug that Israel broke the cease-fire??? stamping out violence by starting it doesn't seem like a very wise solution. how much of this is being fueled by a looming election?

also, we, the USA, don't appear to be honest arbitars when we actively block every advancement for a Palestinian state in the UN. if we want a two-state solution, we should actually try to achieve one.

all these civilian deaths are terrible. i wish there was a better 'government' for palestinians and and a better leadership for israel.
