So I'm 45 minutes into an episode of Hannity. I don't know how people watch this (or really any political shows on cable news) on a night to night basis.

Mitt looks very tired

Rick Perry just filed year-end #s. Raised $2.9 million in 4Q, down from $17 million in 3Q. Brutal. Spent 14.2M in lead-up to Iowa.

It was on Drudge, it means it's important

Also he's touting jobs numbers that work out to 136k per month over 3 years, below the 150k needed to keep up with population growth, on the heels of a recession where we lost almost 9 million jobs

But it's impossible to see him losing to Mitt Romney

So once he took over he was instantly supposed to buck the downward trend of the past administration? Just like that have marvelous growth?

Even Lou Dobbs on The Daily Show said there is positive growth since October. He works for FOX and hates Obama.

The downs are really big, the ups are not. That is why Mitt Romney can beat Obama, Calvinballs.

But that is where he started and from there the numbers progressed upwards. You would have an argument if it was trending downwards. So yes, obviously the average isn't going to be great because of how horrible it was when he took office.

The American economy has generally boomed out of downturns, but we have not on this occasion. The tepid growth the economy has experienced over the past year+ has not been nearly enough to repair the damage inflicted upon it by the recession. The extent to which this is Obama's fault is limited, just as the original recession wasn't much Bush's fault. But he's in charge and people tend to hold the president accountable for economic issues regardless of his direct impact on them. If you think the fact that the economy is barely treading water means the GOP doesn't have an argument to make against Obama this fall, more power to you. But you're wrong.

If the growth in jobs from Nov to Dec becomes a trend and we see a string of months over 200k new jobs and GDP growth becoming stronger soon, that changes the narrative, and Obama will win reelection. I don't think that's all that likely, although I guess it might happen. The country seeing actual improvement wouldn't be the worst outcome.

why aren't they making this argument of which you speak? And if they are already doing so, why aren't people listening?
