elderly woman behind the counter in a small RANDOM town

Postby pacino » Sun Jan 09, 2011 16:58:55

wtf?

A Hamburg patrolman who was responding to investigate a domestic dispute got on his radio and frantically called for help, saying someone was shooting at him from the house and that he was pinned down and could not get to his rifle. Investigators said the gunman was firing an M-1 Garand rifle, which is a military weapon.

is this a movie?

I'm pretty pessimistic about colleges right now.

I think I want to transfer toLa Salle but I have no idea whether most of my credits will transfer from county (in NJ) or what the hell my gpa will be after they decide which classes will.

Freaking out.

I have no desire to go to college in NJ.

Three of the five most recent "waahhhh Eagles" statuses on my news feed reference the Phillies as a measure of self consolation and one of the other two people has Cliff Lee as his picture.

I haven't even had a drink. Recent, not reason. The rest makes sense I think.

I may just give this impending Onion ESPN SportsCenter spoof a look:

NY Times wrote:Sound bites from news conferences convey the frequent banality of the real thing. Heart-tugging features (like one about a dying girl, a Phillies fan, whose last wish is to brutally heckle Mets third baseman David Wright) capitalize on every familiar, mawkish note.

am I likely to "get" much of it even if I hardly ever watch ESPN, let alone SportsCenter?

well ok, as much as I "get" anything?

as you well know, little things can make big differences

like removing a company's name from its logo. What's Starbucks thinking?

Bad move Howard. Fine, you want to move beyond coffee; so just delete "Coffee".

Yeah, I know. It just seems like the way the author of that article threw that in that he believes it's some kind of elite special forces gear.

Do you have a comfy chair? A little scotch? You should post from the chair while enjoying your scotch. Imagine yourself surrounded by oak and nice fire. Welcome to the club.

"chain gangs and drivetrains" is either a great band name or a great title for a theme album - maybe both

Sounds like a good title for a too-precious Belle & Sebastian EP.
