It's kind of nice outside, I guess because there's no wind. Just took the kids out for a walk.

Did you ever notice how when they do "swinger" stories, either on the news or on HBO's Real Sex they're really unattractive?

I didn't realize until watching an old game on ESPN Classic that Daryl Kile throws exactly like Adam Eaton

I don't like bristle hair brushes....unless the bristles are interlocking, then there pretty good.

You only work with oil paint, pedro? I've always used acrylic, and I do simple design stuff, so I've never really appreciated the higher end brushes. What are the qualities that you really love about the natural brushes? I had a badger hair brush that seemed to last forever, but otherwise, I've always been fine with synthetics or bristle.

Yeah, oil or watercolor.....I've just started to appreciate some types of bristle, which is odd since many use bristle when they first start out and continue to use it b/c the bristles are stiff and very versatile and they also last a long time...good for moving around thick paint..
Natural hair like Badger, red sable, black sable(fitch a type of pole cat) ox hair, mongoose, squirrel, camel hair(not really a camel) all have different characteristics..some are softer and more absorbent(They hold lots of color instead of the medium used to create the color), some hold a good point and provide good control, some are good for glazing or blending, which I do a lot of.....bristles I use when I first start painting maybe for the first one /third of the painting...the other two/ thirds I'll use natural hairs to paint thin transparent coats of paint over the existent layer slowly building up over time to create an illusion of dimension. during the entire painting I'll also use natural hair to blend the paint. I suppose it's the sensitivity that I like most about natural hair... Putting together a natural hair brush is a fine art in it self, picking the right hairs, assembling it in your fingers...its a very difficult process..
Some synthetics are very good, but synthetics are designed to mimic the qualities of natural hair, but at a much cheaper price
But....the internet has made brush buying not such a painful$$ experience as it once was...you get some really good brushes for reasonable prices online.

I dunno. I think I'm kind of grouping them all together here. Some are dark red, some are lighter.

Let's face it, hot is hot. Restricting yourself to a particular hair color is unnecessary.

I don't disagree there; it's not like I'm limiting myself from brunettes and blondes. But it seems odd to me because there's a disproportionate amount of redheads among the amount of women I'm attracted to, based on the percentage of women that are redheads.

This single parenting is crap. Vox is working, my parents took us out to dinner for my birthday, and then high-tailed it outta here before the kids were in bed (already an hour past bedtime). It takes me a half hour to get BabyVox asleep, and now VoxJr is asleep on the couch. I have to wake him up to pee and get his meds.

I know this should be some vent thread, but seriously, this is just depressing me.

But it was a good dinner, for a kid-friendly place.

If you just had one kid, say 6 years old, it wouldn't be so bad. Mrs. Vulture has to go out of town one night every other week or so, and for family reasons has had to go back to Jersey for about a week two times. Lil' Vulture and I get into a routine, and it gives me an excuse to leave at 3:00 or so.

Next week, however, it'll be a little tougher, as Mrs. Vulture leaves on Tuesday, and there's no school. So, Lil' vulture will be in the office. Let's hope she's charming and my colleagues will enjoy her visits.

The future Mrs. Meatball and I are headed to NYC tomorrow thru Monday. We've both already seen Central Park, a taping of Conan O'Brien, Times Square, and I bought her some fake shit on Canal Street.

Anybody have some fun suggestions for us?
