Random Thoughts Thread II

Postby Wizlah » Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:18:50

I have no hope of doing any work this afternoon. Worse, because I came in later this morning, I've got 4 1/4 hours of not being able to work to get through.

Even worse again, I have a fancy new videocard sitting next to my desk at work. It's begging me to go home and install it. Begging.

Love the tagline, though. Wasn't this Guliani's campaign slogan?

I'm emotionally invested in whether Woody gets this job or not.

If I owned a Video rental store I would designate part of the store for B movies...then I would put "We are Marshall" in that section plus, every other movie Mathew McConaughy has ever made.

I was briefly in charge of creating employee name badges for a store I worked at while in high school. Part of the name badge identified the employee's position with the company. When a request came in for one of the douchbag assistant general managers, I couldn't fit his full job title in the space provided. So I abbreviated it to read, "ASS. MANAGER."

I was relieved of my name badge duties shortly thereafter.
Another day, another box of stolen pens.

That was a lot of cleaning for a 32% chance she's coming over tomorrow night.

Sitting here posting is a much more pleasing plan than what I should be doing -- going out in the rain, starting the car, coming back in to dress the kids and get them in the car (in the rain), dropping VoxJr at school and then

blah blah blah

I don't want to go out in the rain!!!!

I need a new pair. I had one with pretty limes on it that I wore until they weren't attached to the band anymore, but no new pair has really stepped up above and beyond the others.

I'm actually wearing work clothes, since I'm going straight from there to the Sixers game to the Beatjams party where we're meeting, but I have ways of making it work. (read: tie with little whales)

In fact, this rain is really my only impediment, as she's one of them biking types. God made it rain today because heathens like me have too much fun on Fridays.
