I popped on CSN NY after BBTN and they were reshowing their DNL from before the games today, the consensus among their locals was that the Mets would be better off just blowing the division now, rather than embarrassing themselves in the playoffs. They then went to Marcus Hayes who basically shat on the Philly fan base after one of the NY guys asked him why, when he tuned into WIP today, he heard nothing but Eagles talk. Rather than telling them that it was because WIP is ran by and listened to by morons, he went on saying how this town is a Football town and the only way the Phillies could make it to the top of the city's consciousness Monday would be if the Eagles lose Sunday night and the Phills make the playoffs.

I listened to most of the game tonight on the radio before catching the ninth inning on TV at the bar. SO much fun all the way around. No mattter what happens from here on out, this has been the most fun Phillies season since 1993. I'm loving it.

I've got tickets for Sunday. Would love to have that be the clincher. The crowd will be insane.

The Phils have now scored 878 runs, the highest club total since the 1930 team scored 944 (the 1993 team scored 877).

Actually, it is a home run, you douche. What a fucking baby, cause Chipper's was long gone in Atlanta, right? Why don't go back to talking about how gays getting married is like getting married to an animal, you freakin hick.

You'd think after 20 years in the big leagues that John Smoltz would realize that both teams play in the same park every game. What a sore loser. This win tonight more than makes up for the disappointment of Opening Day when I spent way too much money for good seats to see Smoltz and the Braves beat the Phils. I feel redeemed.

Anyone notice the Phils now have a .606 winning percentage since the All-Star break and a .600 mark in September? I love this team.

Larry's ball snuck over the fence just as much as Burrell's did. Wash. Shut up Smoltz.

Yes, we feast at home. 442 runs scored in 81 road games (5.46 per game), 436 runs scored in 78 home games (5.59 per game). That extra run every 8 games is shocking, no?

Oh, and every game we "feast" here, our freaking pitchers pitch here, efftard.

Go make your tee time, John. Whatever. I hope the park gets in his head every single time he has to pitch here in the future. It can only mean good things for the Phils.

remember when utley hit that home run off of him (two years ago?) that was like 6 inches off the ground? "i could throw that pitch 100 times and he wouldn't hit it 99 of them"

right
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Ryan Howard has 20 HR and 50 RBI in 67 home games, but he has 24 HR and 80(!!!!) RBI in 74 road games.

Too bad he didn't take advantage of the park - he'd have 165 RBI, even with missing almost 20 games.
