I just looked up his stats and then read what Bill James wrote about him. Very interesting. HOFer with 369 HRs yet he only played 10 years. He was done by age 32.
Apparantly he had lots of physical issues but could hit a ton. He had some monster years. The fans in Pittsburgh loved him. Branch Rickey wanted to trade him but was told he couldn't, so he decided to start trashing him anyway he could so he could get rid of him.
