Almost like they should actually be in a lesser conference

i dont think so.

i dont know about this top 3rd stuff. notre dame and miami were in the top third this year. its not like pitt cant be as good as those two schools. hell, vt was almost there this year. just a handful of years ago we were in the top four of the conference under greenberg. seems decently fluid to me.

VT was in the top 4 before expansion. Notre Dame has been in the top 5 in each of the past 2 years.

So you have Virginia, Duke and UNC in the top 5 each of the 3 years. Louisville there both years they were in the conference. Notre Dame the past 2 years. Miami this year and 6th last year. Then you have Syracuse hanging around too. Pitt made the top 5 3 years ago before Louisville entered. I don't think its impossible, but it is hard and maybe a tougher road than some coaches want to go.

2015-2016
North Carolina 14-4 -- .778 28-6 .824 W5
Virginia 13-5 1 .722 26-7 .788 L1
Miami 13-5 1 .722 25-7 .781 L1
Louisville 12-6 2 .667 23-8 .742 L1
Notre Dame 11-7 3 .611 21-11 .656 L1
Duke 11-7 3 .611 23-10 .697 L1

2014-2015
Virginia 16-2 -- .889 29-3 .906 L1
Duke 15-3 1 .833 29-4 .879 L1
Notre Dame 14-4 2 .778 29-5 .853 W5
Louisville 12-6 4 .667 24-8 .750 L1
North Carolina 11-7 5 .611 24-11 .686 L1
Miami was tied for 6th

2013-2014
Virginia 16-2 -- .889 28-6 .824 W3
Syracuse 14-4 2 .778 27-5 .844 L1
Duke 13-5 3 .722 26-8 .765 L1
North Carolina 13-5 3 .722 23-9 .719 L2
Pittsburgh 11-7 5 .611 25-9 .735 L1
Maryland was still in the conference and not Louisville

This will affect Team USA hoops staying in Vegas moving forward.

I know it is not popular but I wish the Big Ten would have offered Pitt instead of Rutgers. Longterm better for Pitt than the ACC and better for the Big Ten from a competition standpoint. The media market that they bring doesn't come close to accounting for the shit that is the Rutgers athletic department.

Calipari says Murray, Labissiere, Ulis, Briscoe, Lee and all other eligible players, including walk-ons, will declare for the draft. Sounds like the program is going to use this new 3-time loophole every year to make high school recruits think the freshmen are always leaving (which they probably will anyway, but...)

probably the last decent gt game for a while. they ran out of gas in the second half after getting the scheduling shaft and sdsu got some home cooking to finish it off. could see them winning single digits next year depending on the schedule. then another year or two getting the program back on track after gregory gets fired.

that malik pope is an awful bball player too. i could do chad ford's job.

SDSU is tough defensively. They rarely score above 60's except when you bet the under and they pop off for 90, but anyways. I thought that was a typical SDSU game fwiw.

Fords jerkin it to that shot clock 3 at the end of the game.

It isn't a loophole if that's the intent of the rule.

seems like a good thing for the players to know where they stand so we don't get freshmen leaving and not getting drafted

I doubt many recruits are going to be swayed considering most of them have already committed long before the spring of their senior year.

@NicoleAuerbach
Tom Crean says Indiana practiced at the Palestra today. Called it a "bucket list" type of experience.
