I finished .1 away from winning $2k last night. Instead I won $0.

And the kicker is that I would have won if Michael Floyd had been awarded a reception instead of a rush on a two yard WR screen. And the double kicker is that I have no doubt that the NFL will change the scoring on that play tomorrow, but it will do me no good.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

If you are interested in playing these daily football games, now is the time. There were massive overlays last week at Fanduel and (especially) DraftKings. Fanduel ran their Monster contest with $1.2m in prizes, but it was only about 70% full ($200 entry). They took a bath to the tune of around $350k. Draftkings was even worse. Here is the email they sent me

Week 1 Kickoff is in less than 90 minutes! We have huge OVERLAY right now which means this is probably your best opportunity this season to pick up some free money added by DraftKings.

Here are the best values right now for week 1:

-NFL Sunday Million 2662/5555 48% full ($200 entry)

-NFL $100K Super Booster 800/2222 36% full ($50 entry)

-NFL $50K Hot Route 231/555 42% full ($100 entry)

-NFL $50K Chop Block 402/1111 36% full ($50 entry)

-NFL $2.5M King of the Beach Qualifier 2180/7125 44% full ($50 entry)

-NFL $100K Game Changer 35/100 35% full ($1,060 entry)

-NFL $50K Playmaker 34/100 34% full ($530 entry)

-NFL $100K Thunderdome 8/20 40% full ($5,300 entry)

Unfortunately, I didnt see the DK email in time, but it would have been almost impossible to lose money last week. They probably got 55-60% of what they needed to cover the payouts. Win your money and get it out ASAP.

Take this example:

NFL Sunday Million 2662/5555 48% full ($200 entry)

DraftKings has a $1m guaranteed prize pool. $200 entry fee. They need 5000 entries to break even. They open it up to 5555 entries, so if they fill every seat, they make around $110k.

90 minutes before kickoff, they only have 2662 entries. My guess is that they only ended up with around 3000 or so (maybe 3500). The prize pool doesn't change whether there are 3000 or 5555 entries, so your odds of winning are increased significantly at DraftKings' expense. They probably lost 300k to 400k just on this contest.

It's a top-heavy prize pool, but based on 5500 entries, they probably still paid down to 1000 spots, which means for $200, you probably had a 1 in 3 chance of winning 5x your money (since only 3000 entered) and a better shot at the big money (1st place was around $100k).

I'll post later this week. I haven't looked at prices yet. Inclined towards using Locker (Cowboys), Foster (Raiders), Charles (Andy overcompensating for his stupidity), Ertz, and whatever WRs I can afford.

Also, definitely watch for the overlays on the contests that are starting on Thursday. They never fill.

I feel like there's a real opportunity here to make a ton of cash. Just not sure I feel like diving in seriously.

This is where daily fantasy is now. DK and FD are fighting for share and trying to attract players with guaranteed prizes for events that they have no chance of filling.
