I seriously think there was a cancer cluster or some other enviromental issue around the old Veterans Stadium, with Tug, Vuke, Dutch and now Schilling all having cancer.

keep hearing this bandied about but do ex-Phils get cancer at a higher rate than the general population? they were probably also doing some other things that, you know, cause cancer

And Johnny Oates. And Gary Carter, who played 20 or so games at the Vet every year of his career.

Phils open the season at Globe Life Ballpark! You know, the one that used to be named for the financial crash all-star Ameriquest? For such a cool stadium they have really gone bottom-feeding for naming rights partners.

There isn't any kind of definitive link between baseball players and cancer (specifically a certain type of brain cancer), but there is a bit of a trend forming. They haven't said what Schilling has, so hopefully it is not as serious as the tumors that tug and vuc etc. has. Also didn't Schmidt say he's not coming to ST because of some health issue? Hope that isn't serious...

How about a trend between amphetamene use and cancer?
