Despite the rumors I just can't see them trading Utley. I can see the trading Paps or Lee (for the right deal) or even Rollins or Chooch. But Utley's the face of the team. I just can't see it.

I hope they trade him, I don't want him to resign here. He is still a pretty good player when healthy but he isn't healthy enough anymore. It is time to move on.

unless we sign cano this winter, we're not going to get a better shot at a big season at 2b from anyone other than utley.

im pretty sure galvis and ceez will be the backup infielders next year, and both are fine at 2b if utley gets hurt again. and maybe im naive, but i bet utley would take a well below market 2 year deal to come back, and i think that is in the best interests of everyone. he should never play for another team.
