Qualls has been pretty good since his first outing. I''d like to say I knew that, but I just looked it up.
Of course, Philadelphia will only need to score so many runs, given its stellar starting pitching and underappreciated defense -- last year the club allowed 529 runs, the fewest of any major league team in a 162-game schedule since 1969.

They had to add him to the 40 man by the end of today I think
Lots of mouth and hat crookedness
Do his role
Podsednik will get most of the time in left with Pierre spotting him. Once Howard gets back and Mayberry goes to left juan might be gone.

a lot of amusing things here - he is a lifetime .298 hitter, so I doubt he bats .230, and I think the guy will get a lot of starts the first couple months in left field but if you looked how Posednik and Pierre's contracts were set up, this was a samrt move because the can send Posednik to the minors, where as they would have had to release Pierre...if Pierre sucks for 2 months, they bring up Posednik, but if Pierre contributes the way I think he does - the Phillies will be more of a small ball, manufacturer runs team than they have been in a long while
