So I haven't given this much thought yet but how do people think the last few pen spots shake out. The locks:

-Big Truck, Fapson, JBB, Bastardo, Cryez (RIP djbigpelf)

Herndog, Cyle, Stutes for the last two spots? Could the impossible dream of Kendrick in AAA be realized, even with Lidge on the shelf?

I doubt it. Herndog and KK get the last two spots, Stutes goes to LV to be the first reliever called up when somebody gets hurt/Baez explodes.

And then Worley will be the first starter called up.

25 man roster

C - Ruiz
1B - Howard
2B - Castillo
3B - Polanco
SS - Rollins
LF - Ibanez
CF - Victorino
RF - Francisco

BN-C - Schneider
BN-INF Martinez
BN-INF Valdez
BN-OF Mayberry
BN-OF Gload

SP - Halladay
SP - Lee
SP - Oswalt
SP - Hamels
SP - Blanton

RHP - Madson
RHP - Contreras
RHP - Baez
RHP - Herndon
RHP - Kendrick
LHP - Romero
LHP - Bastardo

I think Kendrick should be in AAA, with Worley in the big league pen, but that won't happen. When Lidge comes back, Herndon goes to AAA

Lidge will never pitch for the Phils again.

Yeah I think he'll make it and be the regular 2B. It doesn't even seem like Young is in the 2B competition as he's been playing almost exclusively in the OF, must not like his defense. I hope they bat him 8th and move Chooch up

I could see Castillo putting up a .200/.450/.200 line batting 8th.

I'm not sure there's all that much difference between Polanco's offensive value and Castillo's. That's not really intended as a compliment.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

polanco hits the ball to the outfield 52% of the time in his career, and 53% in 2010.

castillo hits the ball to the outfield 37% of the time in his career, and 30% in 2010.

Matt, does that count fall balls down the RF line?

i got it from baseball reference. i'm pretty sure all ground balls count as "to the infield," but i'm not 100% sure. regardless of the metric, the two players are evaluated similarly by it. the point is one guy is a guy who hits the ball 200 feet in the air and hopes to find grass, and one guy pounds it into the ground and runs it out.
