the other rotation that would be close...maddux glavine smoltz avery

though other than 1991-1993, avery really wasn't that good. but the 1993 braves i guess had a similarly awesome rotation. multiple future HOF'ers/3 surefire aces and 1 young guy who seemed to be a developing ace (though he didn't really pan out).

Except last year that trade was also rumoured as the Doc deal was getting done. This time no such rumours.

are we sure that he would be 2? since halladay and lee are most likely to go the distance i would not put them back to back just so the bullpen could get some work.

Doubtful...they will make enough selling Lee memorabilia to pay half his salary. They will also probably be raising tickets by an average of $5 per in 2012.

The thing that Yankees fans are too stupid to realize is that Lee never had any intention of going to NY. They were being played the whole time.

I wonder how many fans have ever worried about their 1-2 being so f'n awesome that the bullpen might not get enough work.

This is all just comical and beautiful

The Phillies get superstars in the sport to come to their team for alot less money because they have............."it." That's the best explanation I have for what we've seen on this date in successive years.
