CLIFF LEE HURLING DIMES AT URANUS

Postby Kolb2Celek4TD » Tue Dec 14, 2010 01:10:34

Blanton and Kendrick are both gone.

Worley is the fifth starter.

Hell, Jamie Moyer can be our fifth starter next year. He'll pitch right handed and we'll still have the best record in MLB.

Let's be honest, they were too cheap to pay for the 30th and 34th picks anyway.

So we've had two of the best pitchers in baseball take a considerable pay cut to pitch here. "Here" being Philadelphia. That's just absolutely insane.

"Here" being the stadium that John Smoltz thinks is a joke and no good pitcher would ever choose to pitch in...

Like Uncle Chollie says..."Champions can play anywhere"

Or something like that...

10 Years ago, this time, our rotation prospects for the upcoming year were:

Wolf, Padilla, Duckworth, Person

Just saying...

I just tried explaining this to my wife, who really doesn't care about baseball, but it caught in my throat a little when I startedto explain the rotation. My fingers shake when I think about it. I might cry.
"I'm in a bar with the games sound turned off and that Cespedes home run still sounded like inevitability."
