there's dancing in the streets here.

or, rather, there might be if i tell enough people what happened.

or, maybe i can get someone to buy me a beer.

seriously... the bbc is giving this more coverage than dutch tv. the latter is too buusy interviewing dutch players from last nights champions league games and tracking erik dekker's paris-nice performance.
sigh...

i'm staying well away from that one. ugly, ugly, ugly.

i'll stick with sunderland. if forced to choose a dutch team, i'll say nac (from breda, where my in-laws used to live).

Ted Lily sets down Venezuela in 1-2-3 order, including birthday boy Bobby Abreu.

Yes. It's basically irrelevant except presumably one would rather start off against the Dutch than Puerto Rico.

Good third base coaching by Mr. Schmidt. Though it might have been fun to see Wright pile into a catcher in a mostly meaningless game.

I think Johnson is just looking to get a lot of guys a little bit of work this game.

Zambrano looked very fungible in this 4th inning and now he's gone.

I think that's the only time we will ever see someone pinch-run for Shane Victorino.
